- Is the vocabulary too scary for young kids?
- It stays on the gentle side: toad, owl, candy corn, costume, moonlight. Classic figures like ghost, witch, and skeleton appear, but there is no gore and there are no horror-movie names.
- How many children can play at the same time?
- Thirty can each hold a unique card straight from the PDF. For a bigger group, photocopy extra sheets — two players sharing a duplicate card simply win together if that card completes a line.
- Do the cards use pictures or words?
- Words only. Every PDF on this site is type-only by design — no clipart — which keeps the cards legible, quick to print, and easy on ink.
- Why do different cards share some words?
- Each card samples 24 of the 40 pool words, so overlap between any two cards is expected — that's what makes the race competitive. The winning pattern differs because every card arranges its words differently.
