What sort of words hide in the St. Patrick’s grids?
Generic Irish-celebration vocabulary — SHAMROCK, LEPRECHAUN, FIDDLE, BLARNEY — plus real places like DUBLIN. There are no brand names or commercial mascots anywhere in the 42-word pool.
My printer defaults to “shrink to fit.” Does that matter?
It does — shrinking reduces the 28pt letters and defeats the large-print layout. Switch the dialog to “actual size” or “100%” and the grid prints exactly as designed.
Can our community parade committee photocopy a stack?
Certainly — group use is the point. Personal, classroom, and care-facility copying is covered by the license printed on each page; just don’t sell the copies.
Is the difficulty different from the other seasonal sets?
No — same standard tier: 20 words in a 15×15 grid, all eight directions, roughly 30% reversed. If you want a stiffer hunt, the hard-for-adults page uses a 17×17 grid with 28 words.
